The next Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, with the participation of structural units and agencies under the Ministry.

The Chairman of the Board made a speech and said that in accordance with the national priorities set by the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022─2026 includes important measures for the future development of the energy sector in general and stressed the importance of timely and efficient implementation of these measures.

Then, in accordance with the agenda of the meeting, reports were heard about the implementation status of the measures identified as the main executor of the Ministry of Energy in the Strategy. The reports submitted by representatives of the relevant structural units of the Ministry, Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency and Energy Regulatory Agency brought to the attention the work carried out on the tasks, the implementation period of which ended in 2023. The achieved results and plans for the coming years were discussed.

The draft of the Work Plan for 2024 of the Board of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan was reviewed at the meeting, and a decision was made to approve the Work Plan.

In the end, the Chairman of the Board gave relevant instructions about the measures planned for the next year, the tasks ahead and the necessary steps to ensure their prompt implementation.
